The labor dispute at KB(Kabul) AutoTech triggered by the company's lockout on July 26 spreads to all-out confrontation between labor and civic society and employers' association at the national level.

Following the deployment of temporary agency security guards on August 1 and the request for the police enforcement into the plant by the company, Korea Employers' Federation(KEF) came front to support the company and called on the government to send in the law enforcement authority to disperse the striking workers who are staging protests inside the company's compound.

KEF on August 4 delivered its opinion regarding the KB AutoTech labor dispute to the government that the law enforcement authority should be sent in to resolve the workers' sit-in protest at the plant. Responding to the employers' call for the law enforcement authority into the plant, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU) and People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy are jointly holding a press conference on August 9 to condemn the lockout and union-busting behavior by the company.
