The Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union(KTU) warned that if the government does not withdraw the decision that made KTU illegal by May 28, it will intensify its struggle during the period of June and July. KTU was founded on May 28, 1989 and was stripped of its legal trade union status by the Ministry of Employment and Labor for the reason that KTU had dismissed teachers as its union members in 2013. One year has passed since President Moon Jae-in took office on May 9, but KTU is not legally recognized yet.
