President Moon Jae-in said during a cabinet meeting held on the morning of April 24 at the Blue House that "Because the National Referendum Act was not revised by the legal deadline(April 23), the same day voting on the national referendum for the revision of the Constitution and local elections on June 13 fell through." This can be regarded as President Moon's proclamation that he was not able to keep his presidential election campaign promise to revise the Constitution in the upcoming June local elections this year.
