The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU) organized a national workers' rally at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul on March 24, where over 20,000 workers across the country had reportedly participated.

In the rally, KCTU demanded △ the minimum hourly wage of 10,000 won(US$9.24), △ the abolition of irregular jobs, △ the opposition to restructuring, △ the reform of conglomerates.

Before the rally, pre-rally events were organized by the Korean Metal Workers Union, Korean Construction Workers Union(KCWU), Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union(KTU) and Korean Democratic Federation of General Workers Unions at Gwanghwamun Square and near the Blue House to call for the turnaround policy of ailing medium-sized shipbuilders, trade union rights for teachers and freedom for political activities and right to work safely,

In recent, the KCTU Central Executive Committee has been reported that 75 KCTU organized workplaces are currently under the prolonged labor disputes, 10 more on year. It is interpreted by the unions that worker's pain has increased under the Moon Jae-in administration.
