Another subcontract worker of the Korea Railroad Corporation(Korail) only identified by the surname of Jeon(36) was hit and killed by a passing train on the tracks on the early morning of December 14, while he was working to install the drainage cover slabs in the section between Onsu Station to Oryu Station of the Seoul Subway Line 1 in Guro District of Seoul. This is the third fatal accident of Korail's subcontract workers hit by the passing trains this year.

A fatal accident also occurred at the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Plant in South Chungcheong Province when a worker named Ju(28) got pulled into the machine on his duty for regular facility maintenance on the afternoon of December 13.
