Some experts even say that those issues in contention will determine the success or failure of the Moon administration, because these three issues are closely related to the 'people-centered economic policy' and 'income-led growth' development strategy.
The debates flared up. The labor circle supported the government labor policies, while the business circle resisted them. The Korea Labor and Employment Relations Association, one of major research communities in Korea and the Hankyoreh Economy and Society Research Institute jointly organized a policy forum on November 3 under the theme of 'Core Issues of the Moon Jae-in Administration's Labor Policies and How To Deal With Them' where experts were invited to discuss these three issues.
The panelists were clearly divided into two groups of pros and cons, arguing about the conversion speed and approach of irregular jobs to regular ones, minimum wage increase, and abrogation of the administrative interpretation on the holiday work to cut working hours.
