According to the OECD data, Korean workers are working 38 days or 305 hours longer than the average working hours of the OECD member countries, reaching 2,069 hours per year which is the second longest after Mexico.

German workers work 1,363 hours per year which is the shortest among OECD member countries, 706 hours or nearly 4 months less than Korean workers do.

The hourly real wage which comes from the gross wages divided by total working hours for Korean workers is 15.7 dollars, only 64.6% of the OECD average hourly real wage of 24.3 dollars.

This shows that Korean workers work longer hours but the level of pay remains below the OECD average.
