|▲ On 30 December 2015, Ssangyong Motor's management and Ssangyong Motor's enterprise-based trade union and Ssangyong Motor Chapter of the Korean Metal Workers' Union reached a landmark agreement to normalize the management of Ssangyong Motor Company, ending a 6-year-long labor dispute. Ssangyong Motor Co. has reinstated only 37 dismissed workers as of today, 18 in February last year and 19 in April this year, with 130 dismissed workers still waiting for the management's calls to return to the company. Ssangyong Motor Chapter of the Korean Metal Workers' Union is reportedly preparing to resume their struggle for the reinstatement of dismissed workers.
