Unionized workers in the manufacturing industry launched the 'Manufacturing Unions Solidarity' and called on the government to form a social dialogue body in order to revitalize the sluggish manufacturing industry.
In March 2015 under the former President Park Geun-hye administration, these unions in the manufacturing sector formed an ad-hoc set-up to fight against the labor market structural reform policy and now they eventually formed a standing solidarity body named 'Manufacturing Unions Solidarity' to overcome the job crisis of the manufacturing sector and make interventions in the government industrial policy.
