After President Moon Jae-in has promised to open an era of 'zero precarious employment in the public sector at his visit to Incheon International Airport on May 12, there are the cases increasing in the pubic institutions that rush to switch the indirectly hired workers to the direct forms of employment.

There are also growing calls for the urgent direct management of the outsourced life and safety sectors and the properly arranged regularization of employment.

The public tender of the Seoul Subway Line 9 Section 2 and Section 3 for the private operation management scheduled on May 22 was put off.

In the private sector, SK Broadband, CJ Hellovision and LGU+ are reportedly preparing measures to regularize the workers of subcontractors to the direct forms of employment. Lotte Group is investigating the precarious employment situation of each affiliated company. In banking sector, Bank of Korea is studying to change the employment status of agency workers to the direct employment.
