As the 19th presidential election scheduled for May 9 is 48 days away, presidential contenders are vying for labor votes.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) organized the union representatives conference to kick off the selection process of an FKTU support presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential election. Four presidential bidders of Moon Jae-in, former chairman of Democratic Party of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, Mayor of Seongnam City, Yoo Seong-min, lawmaker of Bareun Party, Sim Sang-jung, chairwoman of Justice Party were invited to introduce their labor policies in front of the union representatives.

FKTU plans to conduct its union members' votes across the country from 10 to 25 April to decide an FKTU support presidential candidate and hold a policy pact ceremony with the selected candidate.
