President Park Geun-hye's third national apology address was just delivered at a time that the impeachment motion will be decided on December 2 or 9. The key phrases of her speech were that she did not commit any wrongdoings but failed to manage the people surrounding her and she will not step down voluntarily but ask the National Assembly to decide her fate.

The opposition parties will reportedly push for the impeachment motion as scheduled, even though it seemed affected by the President Park Geun-hye surprise speech which was seen as a gambit to confuse the anti-Park lawmakers of the ruling Saenuri Party who support the impeachment motion and divide them from the opposition parties.

In the meantime, the opposition parties nominated two candidates to lead the independent council to probe the high profile political corruption scandal involving President Park and her long time friend Choi Soon-sil for which President Park shall select one to appoint him as a special prosecutor by December 2.
