A research is currently going on for the purpose of improving the sleep quality of night shift workers who suffer from the sleep disorder. The interim report suggests that the workplaces running night shift work schedules make use of 20-minute catnaps for the workers.

The FKTU Occupational Safety and Health Division and the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital from June this year have been undertaking a joint research study to improve the sleep disorder of shift workers.
