Several lawmakers of the Committee of the Environment and Labor of the National Assembly demanded to comprehensively review the proposed amendment bills on four labor-related acts which have been relentlessly pursued by the government and ruling Saenuri Party in the past, as they claim that the reform drive is one of the most typical cases of influence-peddling in state affairs by Choi Soon-sil and her associates. They also proposed the Committee to adopt a resolution concerning the chaos of state affairs triggered by the so-called "Park Geun-hye & Choi Soon-sil gate" scandal.

The Committee began the deliberations on 246 items including 189 items on bills and resolutions submitted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. However, the executive secretaries of the ruling party and the opposition party agreed to exclude the deliberation on the amendment bill of four labor-related acts in its Sub-committee(Bill Deliberation) which is scheduled to open on November 23 and 25.
