950,000 people across the country on November 19(Saturday) lit the candles in four consecutive weekend anti-government protest rallies to call for the resignation of President Park Geun-hye. Participating citizens in some 100 cities nationwide from Seoul to the Jeju Island drew a map of solidarity candlelights in the evening of November 19.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) organized a workers' rally in the Seoul Square where some 50,000 members joined to demand the resignation of Presient Park Geun-hye. Afer the rally, FKTU members also participated in the anti-government rally in the Kwanghwamun Square organized by some 1,500 civic groups and trade unions.

The rally was peaceful with a variety of cultural performances including songs and impromptu speeches, and reportedly finished in no violent clash with police and no arrest of citizens.
