The railway workers have staging the strike for 51 days as of November 16 without finding any breakthrough for the dispute settlement.

Two committees of the national Assembly jointly come forward with a mediation proposal to postpone the controversial introduction of the performance-based wage system until February next year and to form a social dialogue body to reach an accord.

Two chairmen of the parliamentary committees asked through their joint statement both the corporation and union to agree the proposed compromise deal in view of the importance of the people's safety and livelihood.
